Afternoon Accident w/Entrapment

At 11:42 hours, Station 33 (Honey Brook) was dispatched for an automobile accident on Route 10 near Woodland Drive in Honey Brook Township. Deputy 33 (Klinger) responded at 11:43 and was advised by Chester County Fire Board that the accident was being upgraded to a subject trapped bringing Medic 93 (Brandywine Hospital).
Ambulance 33-3 and Ambulance 33-2 arrived and reported two subjects trapped in a vehicle in a ditch. Deputy 33 arrived and established Route 10 Command and requested fire police from Station 34 (Martin's Corner) to shut down Route 10 at Hill Road. Rescue 33 and Engine 33-1 arrived and began stabilizing and the extrication process on the vehicle. Crews removed the driver side doors, the roof and lifted the dash on the drivers side to help make room to extricate the patients for EMS crews.
Crews cleared the scene at 1312 hours.
