Gas Leak in HB Borough

At 0905 hours Station 33 (Honey Brook) and Station 89 Ambulance (Elverson-Honey Brook) were dispatched to the 500 block of Walnut Street in Honey Brook Borough for a reported gas leak inside. Chief 33 (Klinger) responded and was advised the homeowner had no heat and could smell propane inside the residnece.
Engine 33-1 (Robb) arrived and began investigation of the premise. Engine 33-5 (Bailey) arrived and began ventilation of the structure to remove the propane odor. Cause of the odor was identified as a pilot light going out in the home due to a low supply of propane. Crews cleared the scene at 0936 hours.
