Passing of Life Member Wilmer Junior Griffith

Wilmer Junior Griffith, 68 years, of Honey Brook, died on Friday, April 17, 2015 at his home, following an illness.

Wilmer was born in Honey Brook on July 15, 1946. He was the son of the late Wilmer E. Griffith and Anna (Zimmerman) Krieder. Wilmer was the loving and devoted husband of Joanne (Kusnierczyk) Griffith, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.

Wilmer worked for 31 yrs at Luken’s Steel Co, retiring in 1995, he also worked 13 yrs at RV Industrial, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club, a life member of Honey Brook Fire Company & the Luken’s Steel Veterans Guild, California Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, National Street Rod Association. His hobbies were street rods and car shows.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his beloved family including two sons, Wilmer J. Griffith of New Holland, Timothy (Renee) Griffith of Narvon, two daughters, Dodie (Thomas) Kern of Honey Brook and Debra of Honey Brook. He is also survived by a brother, Harry (Gladys) Krieder of Honey Brook and a sister Betty (Chris) Zook of Gordonville. There are also ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 AM at the California EC Church, 350 California Road, Morgantown, Pa. 19543, with Pastor Charles Walker officiating. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Please remember Wilmer’s wish to dress in a causal manner for his memorial service, no suit and tie are required.
