Station 33 Performs An Equine Rescue
By Honey Brook Fire Co. #1
March 29, 2017
On the morning of 3/29/17 the Honey Brook Fire Company was called upon to assist with a equine rescue for a horse stuck in some mud. Rescue 33 and Squad 33 responded with 10 personnel meeting Deputy 33 (Messner) on location. Crews utilized straps, pike poles, and shovels to wrap Annie and help her out of the muck. After an hour Annie was freed and helped to her feet and then assisted her to her stall. When Honey Brook units were clearing Annie was eating some hay and enjoying the company.
