1940 Seagrave Special
600 gallon per minute pump, 100 gallon water tank, purchased from the Washington Hose Co. of Coatesville in 1963. Sold to Mr. Joseph Kugler of the Brandywine Meadows Campground in Honey Brook in 1970. Sold to an unknown buyer in the mid-1980's. In the mid- 2000's the campground went out of business with no additional leads to the engine's whereabouts. In 2012, it was for sale on an online auction site twice. First time in Arizona, the second time in Riverside, California. It was spotted online the second time by a friend of the HBFC, and Chief Messner was notified. In short time, two members of the Romig family, who both ran with HBFC, purchased the pumper, and brought her home to Honey Brook. After 72 years, she still runs well, is in great shape, and still bears the original Honey Brook lettering.
