January 17, 2025

It was a busy Thursday for the Honey Brook Volunteers, responding to five emergency calls for service as some winter weather moved into the area. At 05:17am the day started with Engine 33-1 responding to a fire alarm on the 100 block of Augusta Drive, crews investigated and determined false activation.

At 12:11pm, Engine 33-1 handled another fire alarm on the 4000 block of Treeline Dr.

At 13:59 hours, Rescue 33 and ambulance 89-1 responded to the 5000 block of Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook Township for an MVA. Rescue 33 provided initial patient care until EMS arrival, and controlled hazards. One patient was transported to an area hospital.

At 15:22 hours, Rescue 33 was alerted to assist Station 69 for a reported MVA on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Like many agencies yesterday afternoon, the Twin Valley Fire Department was operating at multiple emergencies simultaneously. Rescue 33 made the response with 7 personnel after being added to the assignment. Rescue 33 staged at the Turnpike entrance as Deputy 69 arrived and confirmed no fire services were needed.

While returning to the station, Rescue 33 responded before dispatch to an MVA on the 700 block of Tablotville Road in the Township. Rescue 33 arrived to find two vehicles blocking and provided initial patient care until the arrival of Micu1462 (DFD) who transported one patient to an area hospital. Traffic 33 had the road re-opened within the hour.

At 03:08 this morning the Engine Company assisted EBFC (49) for a reported mobile home on Tomahawk Lane in West Brandywine Township. First arriving units found the bulk of the fire out, with smoldering contents and a smoke condition inside the residence. Honey Brook units cleared the scene a short time later.

It’s been a busy start to the year as the Honey Brook Fire Company has responded to 10 emergency calls for service in the last 48 hours alone.
