February 21, 2025

It was another busy day for the Honey Brook Fire Company, handling five calls for service over a five hour period on Thursday afternoon as winter weather caused slick conditions in our area.

#1: At 11:43 hours, Station 33 was alerted to the 9000 block of Tel Hai Circle for a fire alarm which was determined to be a false activation.

#2: At 14:48 hours, Engine 33-1 and Deputy 33 handled a reported gas leak inside a residence on the 100 block of Lakewood Drive in West Caln assisting Company 35.

#3: While returning to quarters, at 15:12 hours, Station 33 fire police units we're dispatched to the intersection of Conestoga Ave. and Water Street for traffic control following an accident. 33-30 arrived and requested E33-1 to the scene to assist with debris removal from the roadway. E33-1 and Deputy 33 made the response from West Caln Township.

#4: At 15:30 hours, as the Engine and Deputy made their back into town, the Chester County Fireboard advised Deputy 33 of a second accident on the 1000 block of Twin County Road. Both units diverted and arrived to find two vehicles bocking, with one ALS patient confined. The engine crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle, provided patient care, and removed the passenger side door, completing the extrication only 10 minutes after arrival. Rescue 33 arrived and assisted with hazards and traffic control. A total of three patients were transported to area hospitals, Deputy 33 held the Twin County Road command.

#5: At 16:38 hours, only moments after clearing the accident on Twin County Road, Chester County Fireboard notified Deputy 33 once again of another call, this time being a fire alarm at a commercial facility on the 4000 block of Horseshoe Pike. Both Deputy 33 and Rescue 33 arrived and confirmed a malfunctioning alarm, and returned available.
