At 09:54 on Monday morning, Station 33 was alerted to the 300 block of Grandview Circle in Honey Brook Township for a reported appliance fire. Initial reports we're flames coming from the dryer, with the residence evacuated. Engine 33-1 arrived to find normal conditions from the exterior of the home, secured a water source, and stretched a 200' crosslay to the basement. The engine crew was met with a moderate smoke condition in the basement, and extinguished a small fire which was contained to the dryer. Rescue 33 arrived and assisted the engine crew with ventilation and checked for extension. Quick thinking by the homeowner helped to mitigate the severity of this incident, Honey Brook units cleared the scene within the hour.
