At 03:11 this morning, Engine 33-5 was due on the first alarm assignment assisting Lancaster Station 34 (Caernarvon Fire Company) for a reported barn fire on the 100 block of North Red School Rd. in Caernarvon Township. Chief 34 arrived and confirmed a working fire in a large woodworking building, and quickly requested the second alarm. The upgraded assignment added both Engine 33-1 and Rescue 33 to the scene. Engine 33-5 arrived as the fourth due engine, pumping off its water while its crew immediately began assisting with fire suppression efforts from the (B) side of the structure. Interior crews were met with a well advanced fire and were ultimately forced to go exterior as the conditions rapidly deteriorated. Engine 33-1 arrived and assisted Lancaster Engine 301 with establishing a fill site at a nearby pond, supplying the fire scene with water for over twelve hours. Rescue 33 arrived and assisted with fire suppression, opening up, and overhaul. It was another long day for the Honey Brook Volunteers, clearing the scene roughly 8 hours after arriving, with the exception of Engine 33-1. We’d like to thank the Wagontown Fire Company for covering our local while we operated at this incident. This was the sixth major working fire for the Company in the last three weeks.

33 units would later handle a medical emergency in the Borough and a serious accident in the Township on Sunday.
