Crews Handle Five Calls on Wednesday

At 11:35 on Wednesday morning, Station 33 was alerted to the 2000 Block of Beaver Dam Road in Honey Brook Township for a reported vehicle fire. Engine 33-5 arrived and confirmed one SUV fully involved with some extension into the woods. Crews made quick work of the fire and prevented any further spread. The fire was placed under control at 12:14 hours.

At 13:11 hours, Assistant 33 and Brush 33 extinguished a small controlled burn on the 1600 Block of Cambridge Road.

At 14:43 hours, Station 33 along with EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Todd & Twin County Road for a reported vehicle accident. The incident was deemed property damage only, and no emergency services were required.

At 16:09 hours, Station 33 was alerted to the 1700 Block of Walnut Road in Honey Brook Township for a reported brush fire. Deputy 33 arrived and found a large section of brush going which was contained to a storm water retention basin. Lancaster Tanker 34 and Brush 34 were added to the assignment. The fire was placed under control roughly 25 minutes later, Deputy 33 held the Walnut Road Command.

At 16:37 hours, Engine 33-1 was released from the brush fire and extinguished an unattended controlled burn on the 200 Block of September Road.

The Honey Brook Fire Company would like to remind all residents that The Chester County Commissioners have declared a 30-Day "Burn Ban", which includes all open burning. With most of Chester County experiencing severe drought conditions, wildfire potential remains high in our area and has been taxing on local emergency services.
