On the hot evening of July 4th, the Honey Brook Fire Company was dispatched for an engine and tanker to assist the Glen Moore Fire Company at the scene of a 2 alarm house fire in the 100 block of Indian Run Road in Wallace Township. Engine 33-2 set up a fill site on Springton Road to refill tankers. Engine 33-5 shuttled water as its crew helped with fire suppression. Crews were met with heavy fire conditions upon arrival. After initial attempts at an interior fire attack crews regrouped to a defensive mode and used large handlines and master streams to darken the flames enough to allow overhaul and mop up with foam handlines. Crews also fought high heat and humidity as this fire occurred. Lancaster Tanker 3-2 handled the fill in assignment at Station 33 and was dispatched to 69 on a dwelling fire but was recalled as the call was a controlled burn. After extensive overhaul all units cleared the scene around midnight.
