Today members of the Honey Brook Fire Company traveled to the Honey Brook Elementary School for the annual Fire Safety Day to talk to the students. Among those that were in attendance where Deputy Chief Bob Klinger and Firefighter John King who both spoke to the students about fire safety while Firefighters John Robb and Robby Scott demonstrated the personal protective equipment that a firefighter wears while at a firescene. Also there wasDiane Hertzler with the Dalmation "Tiller" as a special guest. Firefighters reviewed what to do in case of a fire, "Stop, Drop and Roll", calling 911, and establishing a meeting place outside the home in case of fire. We would like to remind everyone to check there smoke detectors, have your chimney cleaned and inspect cords inside as October is fire prevention month. |
