By Deputy Fire Chief Robert Klinger, Jr.
August 30, 2012

At 1530 hours, Station 33 (Honey Brook) was dispatched to assist Station 69 (Twin Valley) to the Morgan Corporation for a reported working building fire. Engine 33-5 responded at 1554 hours followed by Engine 33-1 at 1556.

Deputy 69 (C.Hostetler) made the response, and was advised from the Chester County Fireboard that reports indicated a working building fire. Deputy 69 arrived at 3:52 PM, and immediately requested a second alarm bringing Berks Company 24 (Geigertown), Berks Company 72 (Brecknock), and special called was Lancaster County Station 39 (New Holland), and Berks Company 7 (Birdsboro) for their Towers, Station 48 (Glen Moore) for rapid intervention.

Engine 33-5 arrived and supplied Lancaster Tanker 39 (New Holland) and Engine 33-1 arrived shortly after and assisted with crews deploying portable monitors and supplying Engine 33-5. Engine 33-2 arrived a short time later and set up a draft site just south of the property due to the hydrant system being exhausted. Deputy 33 (Klinger) arrived and established Morgan Way CP to assist with communications for Deputy 69 and formulating an Incident Action Plan (IAP). EMS crews setup a rehab area on the fireground assisting Station 89 (Elverson EMS). The fire was placed under control at 1738 hours and crews were on scene for several hours hit the remaining hot spots and cleaning up.
