Last evening, members from Honey Brook, Wagontown, Twin Valley, Glen Moore, Churchtown, Weaverland Valley, and Garden Spot Fire Rescue gathered at Station 33 for joint water supply drill. The primary focus of this drill was to establish a viable water supply for a fire scene that was roughly 2,700' from the hard road. These long set-backs are not uncommon for this area, and require additional planning and resources from local agencies.

Engine 33-1 would "split lay" to the fire scene, followed by Engine 33-5 who completed the lay and acted as the relay pumper. Engine 35 handled the drafting assignment from the Brandywine Creek on Mill Rd. while Lancaster Engine 34-1 handled the dump site at the end of the drive. The remaining tankers cycled through the loop a total of three times, which provided sufficient water flow at the scene. Rescue 33, Engine 69-5 and Lancaster Engine 34-1 handled one Fire Alarm in the Borough during this training.

Once again, we'd like to thank our mutual aid partners for their participation in this drill, making it a successful evening for everyone involved. We'd also like to thank Mr. Stoltzfus from the 1700 block of Walnut Rd. for generously allowing us to utilize his property for the training.

Honey Brook Units would also handle a vehicle fire in the morning and assisted on a dispatched mobile home fire just before midnight in West Brandywine Township.
