By HBFC
November 5, 2024
At 09:58 this morning, Honey Brook units were due on the 300 Block of Wagontown Road in West Brandywine Township, assisting Station 35 (Wagontown Fire Co.) for a reported house fire. First arriving units had smoke showing from the (A) side of a single family dwelling. Engine 33-1 arrived as the fourth due engine and immediately went to work on floors two and three assisting with opening up, fire suppression, and conducting primary searches. Rescue 33 arrived and established RIT, which was supplemented by Engine 33-5. Interior crews had a stubborn fire on all three floors, which was traveling in void spaces as is common in older homes. The fire was placed under control at 10:38 hours, Station 33 units would clear a short time later following some extensive overhaul.
Deputy 35 held the Wagontown Road Command, this was the third working fire in five days for the Honey Brook Volunteers.
