It was another busy day for the Honey Brook Fire Company on Thursday, responding to four calls for service. At 04:54 yesterday morning, Deputy 33 and Rescue 33 assisted EMS with lifting on Vintage Lane.

At 06:26 hours Engine 33-1 and Rescue 33 responded to the 100 Block of Augusta Drive for a fire alarm activation.

At 10:18 hours 33 units were dispatched to the 600 Block of Twin County Road for a reported trash truck fire. Engine 33-5 arrived and confirmed one trash truck off the side of the road with heavy fire in the cab and engine compartment. Crews stretched two lines and extinguished the fire, which was placed under control 10:35 hours. Fire police units closed Twin County road for an extended period of time, Lieutenant 33-A held the command.

Shortly after clearing the trash truck fire, Brush 33 noticed a column of smoke east on Horseshoe pike and investigated. Upon arrival, Brush 33 reported a large controlled burn and requested Engine 33-5. Units extinguished the fire out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with the current 30-Day Burn Ban enacted by the Chester County Commissioners.

The Honey Brook Fire Company has responded to over 71 emergency calls for service since October 1st.
