Building Fire Assignment in Honey Brook Township
By HBFC
November 30, 2024
At 19:49 hours on Friday evening, the Honey Brook Fire Company along with automatic aid were dispatched to the 600 Block of White School Road in Honey Brook Township for a reported building fire. Deputy 33 arrived and reported smoke showing from the (A) side of a 3-story woodworking shop, and established command for the incident. Engine 33-1 assumed the first due engine assignment, laying 500’ of LDH from the end of the drive, and put one line in service. Crews ultimately located an active fire in the chimney which had broken out and extended to the exterior of the structure. Engine 33-5 arrived as the second due engine and was assigned to divisions two and three ventilating and checking for extension. The assignment was scaled back to 33 units and ladder 69 as the fire was quickly put under control. All remaining units cleared the scene roughly one hour later.
This was the 60th emergency call for the month of November, another record for the HBFC. Year to date we’ve now responded to 410 calls for service, which marks the busiest year in the Company’s 132 year history.
