Busy Sunday for HBFC Responders.

Sunday morning presented an early start for HBFC responders as the company responded to 3 calls of service all before 0900hrs. Beginning at 0409hrs the company was alerted for Engine 33-5 to relocate to the Avondale Fire Company for a standby providing coverage while they operated on a large structure fire in West Marlborough Twp. Engine 33-5 stood by for near 5hrs running no additional calls during the detail.
At 0455hrs the company was alerted for a medical assist in Honey Brook Township. Deputy and Rescue 33 made the response operating onscene for roughly a half hour before returning available.
Dispatched at 0815hr Engine 33-1, Brush and Traffic 33 responded to a reported woods fire on the 400 block of Icedale Rd in Honey Brook Township. Units arrived to find a 20’x10’ section of woods burning with exposure to a dwelling and utility poles. Crews quickly extinguished the fire containing it to the area involved. The fire was placed under control and the company returned available within the hour.
