Chimney Fire on Main Street

At 18:33 hours on Thursday evening, Station 33 along with Ladder 69 and Ambulance 89-1 were dispatched to the 4700 block of Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook Borough for a reported Chimney Fire. Deputy 33 arrived and confirmed an active fire in the chimney and established command. 33 units utilized a dry-chem to extinguish the fire, checked all divisions of the home for extension, ventilated, and made access to the top of the chimney.
Ladder 69 arrived and set-up on the (A) side, utilizing the main to drop the chains and clear away any remaining blockage in the chimney. The incident was quickly brought under control, Deputy 33 held the Horseshoe Pike Command. Honey Brook PD and 33 Fire Police units had the road reopened roughly one hour later.
