A combination of low humidity levels, dry fuel, and gusty winds made for a busy Saturday across Chester County, as units handled dozens of "Fire Weather" related emergencies throughout the day. At 12:17, Engine 33-5 was alerted to assist Lancaster 34 for a large trash fire on the 2000 block of Best Road, in Caernarvon Township. While responding, Engine 33-1 was also added to the assignment and made the response along with Assistant 33. First arriving units from Lancaster 34 had a large pile of conveyor belting going to the rear of a residence. E33-5 laid 500' of LDH to a nearby pond and setup a drafting operation, supplying the fire ground while E33-1 setup for master stream operations. The incident was placed under control roughly one hour later.

At 13:09, Lancaster Tanker 49 reported an unknown type fire on the 1900 block of Beaver Dam Road while returning from the fire on Best Road. Brush 33, Engine 33-1, and Assistant 33 made the response. Units extinguished a small manure pile before returning available.

At 14:26, E33-5 was dispatched to assist Company 37 (Modena) on a large woods fire in Newlin Township. Units had been working the multi-acre fire for several hours, and resources from across Chester and Lancaster County were needed to contain the large fire. Engine 33-5 operated for nearly four hours assisting with suppression duties as well as supplying several brush units before being released by command. While E33-5 was operating in Newlin, Brush 33 and Assistant 33 assisted Company 35 (Wagontown) on the 100 block of Baldwin Road in West Caln for another brush fire. Crews worked a roughly one-acre fire that involved a shed before returning available.

Units: Assistant 33, Brush 33, Engine 33-1, Engine 33-5
