Accident With Entrapment on Horseshoe Pike
By HBFC
April 8, 2026
At 20:41 last evening, Station 33 along with EMS were dispatched to the 2200 BLK of Horseshoe Pike, in Honey Brook Township for a reported motor vehicle accident. Crews were still on-station following an earlier incident, with both Chief 33 and Rescue 33 making the response roughly sixty seconds from dispatch.
Chief 33 arrived to find one vehicle on its side, resting up against a residence, with wires down and the vehicle’s operator trapped. The incident was upgraded and Chief 33 established the “Horseshoe Pike Command”. Crews confirmed the working area was safe from all overhead hazards before starting the extrication process. Personnel from R33 and E331 stabilized the vehicle and swiftly extricated one patient, who was transported to a local area hospital.
We’d like to thank our EMS partners from EHBEMS and Tower Health, as well as our Fire Police personnel who worked in tandem with our crews to ensure a safe extrication from a potentially hazardous and unique situation.
