Honey Brook Memorial Day Parade
By HBFC
May 25, 2026
On the morning of Monday, May 25th, the Honey Brook Fire Company participated in the annual Honey Brook Memorial Day Parade. Each year, the parade starts at the Honey Brook American Legion post and travels along Route 322 to the Honey Brook Presbyterian cemetery, where a brief remembrance ceremony is performed. The parade then proceeded up Walnut Street to the Honey Brook United Methodist cemetery where a second remembrance ceremony was performed, and returns to the American Legion post, where a final ceremony was performed.
The HBFC is honored to participate in this special tradition, as we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who've made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms that we enjoy every day. Memorial Day is more than just a holiday weekend, it's a day of gratitude as we reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served, and continue to serve our Country. We'd like to personally thank Honey Brook Borough Mayor Matt Halverson, Honey Brook American Legion Post 422, Township Supervisor Valerie Shultz, and so many more who brought our community together and ensured our Nation's Veterans would be honored. We'd also like to the Honey Brook Borough PD for handling traffic control throughout the parade.
