Assist on Barn Fire

At 11:31 on Saturday 2/20/2021 Honey Brook was alerted for RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) to a barn fire assist with Keystone Valley Fire Company at 6144 Limeville Road in West Sadsbury Township. Also responding on the box was (Chester County units ) Sadsburyville, EMS 08 and Medic 93, Lancaster County units) Gap, White Horse and Christiana Fire Companies. Units arrived and reported a (smoke showing) working barn fire. A first alarm tanker task force brought additional tankers from (Chester County) Wagontown, Cochranville, (Lancaster County) Kinzer, & Christiana. The fire was quickly brought under control with (1) 1& 3/4” hoseline off first arriving Rescue 42. A 5” LDH Supply line was also laid up driveway by Rescue 42. A pond across the street would have been the primary water source. Units cleared the scene within 30 minutes.
