Reported Equipment Fire on Horseshoe Pike
By HBFC
August 2, 2023
Yesterday at 1344 hours, the Honey Brook Fire Company was alerted to the 5000 block of Horseshoe Pike for a reported skid loader on fire. Brush 33, Engine 33-5, Rescue 33, and Traffic 33 all made the response. Arriving units found a skid loader on its side, that had fallen into a burn pit. Fortunately, the machine's operator was able to escape unharmed. Local bystanders knocked down the bulk of the fire with extinguishers, as 33 crews mopped up the remaining fire and secured hazards. Crews operated for roughly 30 minutes before clearing the scene.
