Working House Fire in West Sadsbury
By HBFC
January 3, 2024
The Honey Brook Volunteers stayed busy on Wednesday responding to another working fire, this time assisting Station 8 (KVFD) on the 8000 block of N. Moscow Rd. First arriving units found heavy fire in the basement extending into the first floor. Chief 8 assumed command and requested the working fire dispatch along with the first alarm tanker task force. Rescue 33 arrived as the 4th arriving unit and initially established RiT, however, command requested the crew from Rescue 33 conduct a primary search of the residence instead. Engine 33-5 arrived and assisted the Rescue's crew with primary searches on the first and second floors, as well as some overhaul. Honey Brook units operated for roughly 1.5 hours before being released by command.
