The Honey Brook Fire Company remained busy over the weekend, responding to five calls for service:
At 03:54 Friday morning, Engine 33-1 and Chief 33 responded to a Fire Alarm at the Tel Hai Complex. Upon investigation, a burnt-up hydraulic pump causing a light smoke condition was discovered in the basement.
At 11:12 Saturday morning, Station 33 along with Lancaster Truck 39 responded to a reported chimney fire on the 600 block of Churchtown Rd. Crews investigated, mitigated hazards, and cleared a short time later. At 13:24 that afternoon, Engine 33-1 and Chief 33 responded to a fire alarm on the 3100 block of Horseshoe Pike.
At 09:53 Sunday Morning, Engine 33-1 and Assistant 33 handled an appliance fire on the 3600 block of Horseshoe Pike. Engine 33-1 arrived and stretched an 1-3/4" line to the front door. Inside, crews found a blower motor and electrical components burning underneath a propane stove. Crews mitigated hazards, secured utilities, and cleared the scene in under an hour. Later that evening at 21:07, Rescue 33 along with Assistant 33 handled a medical emergency in the borough assisting Micu-193.
