Crews Handle Multiple Calls, Chicken BBQ on Saturday
By HBFC
April 14, 2024
It was a busy day for the Honey Brook Volunteers, handling four emergency calls along with our semi-annual chicken bbq fundraising event. As some members were getting the grills started for the day, Station 33 along with Ladder 69 (TVFD) were dispatched to the 500 block of Pleasant View Rd for a Chimney Fire. Chief 33 arrived first and confirmed an active chimney fire. Crews from Engines 33-1, 33-5, and Rescue 33 were able to extinguish the fire quickly and confirmed there was no extension inside the home.
Shortly after returning to the station, 33 units handled a fire alarm in Honey Brook Borough. Just before noon, Engine 33-5 responded to a CO alarm activation in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County.
Later that evening, Engines 33-1 and 33-5 responded to the 1700 block of Beaver Dam Rd. for a fire alarm.
The Honey Brook Fire Company is a 100% Volunteer organization, and still relies on generous support from the public to help fund our operations. We’d like to extend a special thank you to all who attended yesterdays event, making it a success!
