Joint Training With East Brandywine Fire Company
By HBFC
April 18, 2024
Last evening, members of the Honey Brook Fire Company traveled to the Chester County Public Safety Training Center for our weekly training. Joined by our neighbors, HBFC crews had the pleasure of working alongside crews from the East Brandywine Fire Company as we've done on the fire ground many times in the past. Crews from both Companies were split into teams and put through live-fire scenarios with fires going on multiple floors. Each crew worked on hose line advancement and fire extinguishment, truck and roof operations, search and victim rescue, as well as RIT. Last night's training allowed all members to get familiar with each other's equipment, operational tactics, improve communication, and sharpen their skills. We'd like to thank the East Brandywine Fire Company for a great night of hands-on training.
Nearly 50 members in total from both Companies participated in this joint training exercise.
This was the 3rd live-fire training so far this year for Station 33. Are you interested in joining our team? The Honey Brook Fire Co. is always looking for motivated individuals to serve in a wide range of roles from structural firefighting, to apparatus operators, administration, and fire police. If you'd like to get involved, please email Membership@honeybrookfire.org or stop by the firehouse any Monday night at 7:00 pm.
